THE PASSING OF JOSEPH GRAY (1921-2007) MAY 18, 2007 The Board of Directors, Officers and members of the Bel Air VFC regret to announce the passing of exemplary life member and past Assistant Chief Joseph Ernest Gray on May 18, 2007 at the age of 86. Joe was a member of the Bel Air VFC for 49 years. During that time he responded to over 7,000 fire calls and was a top EMS responder in the 1940’s and 1950’s. Joe held the following elected positions during his tenure with the company: Engineer - 8 years (was elected position during his time) Lieutenant - 3 years Captain - 4 years 2nd Asst Chief 2 years Contributions may be made to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 288, Bel Air, Maryland 21014 or to the memory of Mae Gray in care of the Bel Air Church of the Nazarene, 2430 Conowingo Road, Bel Air, Maryland 21015.
