Apartment Fire Denise Drive
BAVFC crews operating 3 engines and 2 ladder towers with mutual aid from Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Co., Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company and Darlington Vfc (35 personnel total) worked a fire in a 3rd floor unit of 1622 Denise Drive. Volunteers located the fire in a furnace area and were able to place it under control within 30 min. All searches were negative and there were no injuries.
Damages are estimated at $60,000. Fortunately no injuries occurred as the resident discovered the fire and alerted neighbors. This unit had working smoke alarms. Does your home have them? The time it took you to click on this post, read it and look at the pictures is all the time it takes to test your smoke alarms. RG
