| On February 11, 2026, at 11:17 a.m., the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company responded to a reported dwelling fire in the 100 block of Creek View Court. Engine 313 arrived on scene to find the front section of the home heavily involved in fire. Firefighters quickly established an aggressive interior attack to bring the fire under control. Crews from Bel Air, along with mutual aid firefighters from Whiteford and Delta-Cardiff, advanced attack lines into the first floor and attic to locate and extinguish the fire. During operations, firefighters located and safely removed the family dog from the basement. The dog was unharmed. Due to the rural location and limited hydrant access, crews laid approximately 1,500 feet of supply line and established a water shuttle operation from nearby rural water sources to support firefighting efforts. Deputy Chief 3, Cox, served as Incident Command for the operation. The Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company reminds residents in rural areas to ensure their homes are equipped with working smoke alarms and to develop and practice a home fire escape plan. Early detection and preparation can save lives. |
