1957 Cadillac Superior Ambulance
In 1957 the fire company would again purchase an ambulance. The 1950 Packard Henney had accumulated 68,000 miles of hard service since its purchase. The company purchased a 1957 Cadillac Superior “Rescuer” Model ambulance and it was delivered to Bel Air in July of 1957.
The ambulance would be equipped with all the modern medical equipment of the time. It was placed into service on July 19, 1957.
This unit was traded in on the 1965 Pontiac Superior ambulance.
