One Alarm Fire in English Country Manor – 2nd Fire Of The Day
This was the second fire of the day in Bel Air, this time in English Country Manor as crews battled a early evening one alarm fire. First arriving units were faced with the conditions shown in the picture. Crews quickly knocked the bulk of the fire down from the outside to get a quick handle on conditions. From there thet got inside and began to pull ceilings to access the rest of the fire. Damage is estimated at $50,000. There were no injuries however two families were displaced.
If this fire had broken out in the middle of the night the potential for catastrophic life and property loss would have been much greater. Have your chimney inspected and cleaned annually and make sure you have properly installed and operational smoke alarms. RG
