Snowy Customer Service
During the first snow of November in years EMS was busy across the region. Among the many calls taken that day BAVFC paramedic crew of Corey Mitchell, Erich Goetz, Rachel Sakamoto and Samantha Welch were dispatched to a seizure call in Baltimore County. Because of the conditions of the driveway the Long Green utility brought the patient out to the waiting medic unit. While still on scene, a Chevy Cobalt attempted to pass the medic unit, and in doing so got stuck in the snow. Samantha assisted the driver in getting the vehicle out of the snow, only to have the driver have problems getting the vehicle up the hill due to the slush on the roads. At this point the vehicle was blocking the ambulance. While Erich and Corey attended to the patient, Rachel and Samantha helped push the car up the hill while the driver was steering clearing the way for the medic unit to move. Great job to all crew members for their excellent work and management of the issues presented to them.
