
Volunteers Work This One Alarm Country Village Apartment Fire
BAVFC and mutual aid units responded to initial reports of an apartment fire with people trapped and heavy fire coming from the apartment building in the 700blk of County Village Drive. First arriving units reported smoke showing from a three story garden style apartment. E314’s crew forced entry and found a fire in the living room of a second floor apartment, much of which had already burnt out. It was contained in 10 min. There was no one home and no injuries. One cat was rescued and taken to an emergency vet where he/she was recovering nicely. Damage is estimated at $15,000. The FM is investigating the cause. RG
